Porous metal foam is a new type of porous structure metal material with a certain number pore size and porosity. The material has the characteristics of small bulk density, large specific surface area, good energy absorption, high strength and rigidity. The through-hole body has strong heat exchange & heat dissipation capabilities, good sound absorption performance, and excellent permeability. Foam metal with different parameters and indicators can be adapted to a variety of different functional and structural uses, and can have both functional and structural attributes.

Product feature and application

Porous nickel foam has been widely used in battery, supercapacitor and catalysis applications due to its lightweight, high porosity and good stability. In the catalysis field, the porous nickel foam is used as catalyst support which can reduce ion transfer resistance and facilitate the diffusion of gaseous products. In the battery/supercapacitor field, the porous nickel foam can be used as the substrate for in-situ hierarchical electrode preparation and thin film deposition. The as-prepared electrode materials show a better cycling performance, rate capability and larger charge/discharge capacity.
