1.Raw Material:

Cast ball: The basic material is scrap steel, machine tool iron filings, old steel wire, chromium, etc., and its carbon content is 2.2---3.5, which is actually the composition of iron. Therefore, to be precise, the cast ball should be called iron ball. Advantages: cheap raw materials and wide range of materials; Disadvantages: non-uniform and unstable materials.

2. Production process:

The casting ball is to melt waste materials such as scrap steel and scrap iron in an intermediate frequency electric furnace. During the melting process of the furnace materials, an appropriate amount of alloys such as ferrochrome and ferromanganese are added, and the chemical composition is modulated in the furnace. After the temperature of the molten iron reaches the requirements of the process, the molten iron is injected. mold forming.

3.Hardness: The surface hardness of high chromium cast balls is above HRC58 after qualified heat treatment, and the hardness difference of core surface is between 3-5 HRC; the surface hardness of low chromium casting balls is about HRC45.
